This is a great mini-course for learning about the ins and outs of permaculture and homesteading for home owners. There is a large emphasis on designing your property and figuring out how to get started. There is also a TON of practical tips and strategies that you can use right away.
Why I Love It: Great for getting an in-depth knowledge of designing your property

My Favorite Book:
Edible Landscaping with a Permaculture Twist
by Michael Judd
This was the first book I read that started to make everything click. Michael has a really great way of explaining things in a way that makes sense and makes it easy to follow. He pulls together some of the most common permaculture practices and shows you how to start them on a small scale and work your way up.
Why I Love It: Excellent book for getting started! Great for showing you the basics.

My Favorite Website:
This is a great website packed full of information on doing permaculture on a small scale (in the suburbs). Most of their content can also be scaled up to larger properties as well but I love how simple they make it all seem.
Why I Love It: Tons of resources and recommendations on a variety of topics related to permaculture and homesteading.
